The Toilet Paper Roll Theory

People say, "Life is like a roll of toilet paper; the closer it gets to the end, the faster it goes." My friend said to me today, "So, say you find out you have a terminal illness and only have a year to live. Does life seem to go faster and faster through that whole year?" Or does life only get faster and faster as you age?
My sister just started her own blog! Go to it at: atomicpinkdynamite.com.
Here's one of my theories: It's impossible to be in an empty room, because if you are in the room, it's not empty!

But my sister's opinion is this: To "be in" an empty room means that an empty room is where you are, or, in other words, what the room would be if you weren't in it. So, in her opinion, it is possible to be in an empty room as long as you are the only thing in it.

So, is it or is it not possible to be in an empty room? The world may never know.
This is my friend's "mirror theory:"

Let's say you put two mirrors facing each other. They would keep reflecting off each other, and if you looked into one, the reflections would seem to go on forever. If you walked into one of these mirrors (hypothetically, of course!) and walked on and on for a while, and then somebody moved the other mirror... where would you be?

Don't think about it too long, or you'll get a headache!
I forgot to mention something in my last entry. Most of the books I mentioned are children's books, but the ones by Jerry Spinelli are very good for people of all ages. My parents love them!
